I'VE NEVER CLEANSED BEFORE - HOW DO I KNOW I CAN DO IT?

Nearly all adults can benefit from a cleanse program as a regular part of their lifestyle. The majority of people new to cleansing with us are pleasantly surprised by how filling the juices are. The juices give your body a complete supply of nutrients to get you through your day. Just take it a little slower than usual and listen to your body. Or start with a 1-day cleanse to try it out! Keep in mind that if you are pregnant or nursing, we do not recommend cleansing (although our juices make a great supplement to your current diet). If you have a medical condition that requires medication, we ask that you speak with your healthcare professional before beginning any juice cleanse.

WHAT KIND OF SIDE EFFECTS SHOULD I EXPECT?

Although each body is different, here are a few typical side effects you can be prepared for. Keep in mind that during the first two days or so detoxification is at its peak so side effects may be more intensive during that time. Remember, this is your body doing the work. The positive results are soon to follow and well worth any potentially negative side effects you may experiences during the cleanse.

  • Mild headaches, especially for those who consume caffeine regularly.
  • Fatigue
  • Dizziness and short bouts of nausea
  • Increased (or decreased) bowel movements

Oftentimes any cleansing detox symptoms are a good sign and can be eased with a cup of herbal tea and deep breathing.

I SIGNED UP FOR A 3-5 DAY CLEANSE. DO YOU DELIVER EACH MORNING OR ALL AT ONCE?

To maintain optimum freshness and nutritional value, our cleanses are scheduled for delivery/pickup every other day. 3-day cleanses are split into 2 deliveries/pickups and 5-day cleanses are split into 3 deliveries/pickups.

AM I GOING TO LOSE WEIGHT ON A CLEANSE?

Here at Vive, we believe in cleansing for health - to give your digestive system a break, remove toxins and replenish with fresh, whole nutrients and enzymes - not for weight loss. With that said, you may lose weight through the process of detoxifying. Look at cleansing as a kick start to an ongoing, healthy lifestyle. Proper nutrition and exercise is key to a healthy weight.

WHAT IF I AM REALLY BUSY? CAN I STILL CLEANSE?

Absolutely! Just be sure to allow your body time to rest when it needs it. There is a big misconception that juice cleansing leaves you in a brain fog and tired the entire time. While you may go through times of tiredness or have trouble focusing, generally speaking most people find they have more energy and increased mental clarity both during and after a cleanse.

CAN I EXERCISE WHILE ON A CLEANSE?

Yes, but we find that it usually serves us best to ease up on our normal workout routine. Feel free to take a light walk or do yoga/stretch as a replacement.

DO YOU INCLUDE INSTRUCTIONS WITH YOUR CLEANSE?

Yes. We include instructions and helpful tips each time you cleanse with us. In addition, all of the bottles are marked on the cap so you know what order to drink them in.
