What to Expect

BEFORE YOUR CLEANSE

To maximize your cleanse benefits and results, we recommend you start by cutting out a few things 48 hours before your cleanse begins and drinking plenty of water. Don't worry! It's easier than it seems. The more preparation, the more graceful and beneficial the cleanse. Your body will thank you for it, we promise!

  • Also allow this time to determine your plan for coming off the cleanse which can be just as important as the cleanse itself. Plan to set aside a few days post-cleanse to eat simple and clean, the same way you did during the 48 hours prior to your cleanse. & if you're looking to get the maximum effect from your cleanse, schedule a colonic. It's an effective, fast way to release a lot of toxins from your body. We do understand that colonics may be a bit adventurous for some, so it's okay if you're not feeling up to it.

    DURING YOUR CLEANSE

    Congratulations on starting your cleanse! Here are some things to keep in mind to make your cleansing journey enjoyable:

    1. Step One - Water, Water, Water
      • Start your day with 32 ounces of water right off the bat. Continue to drink at least eight glasses of water per day. Hydration is key!
    2. Step Two - Drink Up
      • Drink your juices in the ordered they are labeled, approximately every two hours. These juices act as your replacement for your usual meals. It's okay if you drink faster or slower than this - we just find that every two hours seems to work for most. You may drink herbal (non-caffeinated) tea throughout the day to supplement you between juices.
    3. Step Three - Hit The Sack
      • Get plenty of rest. It's normal to feel a bit tired during your cleanse. Don't worry, this is just your body detoxing. You may also want to ease up on your workout routine - feel free to take a light walk or stretch as an alternative.
    4. Step Four - Treat Yourself
      • Give yourself the gift of a warm bath or shower. Dry-brushing will also help open up your pores, stimulate your lymph and circulatory systems and shed dead skin. Your skin is the largest organ of your body and will be detoxing during your cleanse too - treat it well! Go all out if you'd like. Schedule a massage, reflexology treatment, pedicure, etc. Anything to love you and your body.
    5. Step Five - Eliminate
      • If you're looking to get the maximum effect from your cleanse, schedule a colonic. We already talked about colonics as a safe way to flush out years of built-up waste along with toxic liver bile, gas, etc. We know - it's a bit adventurous. If a colonic doesn't work for you right now, use an herbal laxative to aid in this process.

      NOTE: Avoid gum or mints while cleansing.They promote the release of digestive enzymes that make you hungry. Plus, they are comprised of artificial ingredients and sweeteners.

      AFTER YOUR CLEANSE

      Coming off a cleanse is just as important as the cleanse itself. The cleaner and simpler you keep your system, the better you'll feel. The next few days are known as "breaking the cleanse." The best way to break your cleanse is to eat foods the same way you did preparing for it. For the next 48 hours, focus on consuming raw fruits and veggies and avoiding dairy, meat and gluten products. You are welcome to add additional juice and vegetable broth during these 48 hours. Starting day 3 post-cleanse, you can start to reintroduce meat and dairy products if you wish - just take it slow. Try steamed fish in place of beef, pork and chicken and goat's milk products in place of cow's in the beginning.

      Keep in mind that everyone is different and we won't force you to follow our suggestions. We want you to have the best experience possible with your cleanse and following the above methods have been shown to allow the results of your cleanse to really set in and protect you from falling in to any unhealthy eating habits from cravings.
